Exciting news!!
Napkin Sketch Exhibition as a part of at a juried exhibition at
Tempe Center for The Arts through September 6, 2025!
I was appointed as a member of Goodyear Arts & Culture Commission and have been serving the city of Goodyear since January 2024.
My napkin sketch won the Napkin Sketch Contest 2023 by BNP Media Architectural Record!
It was announced and featured at the Innovation Conference in New York.

were all very successful! I received many compliments from diversified people.
I'm grateful for all these opportunities and supports that I was given.

Kyoko Iwasaka is an artist and a licensed architect who specializes in designing spaces for sustainability, health and well-being. She is a NCARB (The National Council of Architectural Registration Boards) certified architect, LEED (The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional, WELL Accredited Professional (certified by International WELL Building Institute), CSI (Construction Specification Institute) certified CDT ( Construction Document Technology) professional, Japan First Class Architect, and APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) registered architect.
Kyoko's unique background and strong curiosity hone her technical skills and fuel her creativity. She has extensively traveled different regions and countries to live, study, and work with people from all over the world. She believes that art and architecture significantly influence the quality of people’s life. She continuously explores innovative design processes - integration of fine art and architecture - to create spaces for uplifting experiences and healthy, joyful life of all.
In addition to architecture practices, Kyoko organized multiple study tours with a French study tour agent to showcase robotic and artificial intelligence technologies for aging population in Japan and BIM (Building Information Modeling) technologies for innovative lean construction in the U.S. She successfully excecated study tours "Elderly Care Japan" and “Lean Construction in the U.S. - Innovation and Sustainability” for professionals from Europe, Russia, China, and Australia.
Kyoko appeared as a speaker at the annual conference of The Academy of International Management, Cultures and Transdisciplinary Studies in Japan, a Japanese business group meeting in Seattle, and International Student Association at Seattle University. She also contributed as a writer for Japanese community papers and magazines. In addition, Kyoko was a highly rated Japanese language tutor. She taught many students in all ages and levels, and helped them their dream come true, that is, work and live in Japan.
Kyoko holds Master’s degrees in Architecture and Business Administration, a Bachelor of Fine Art Education. She studied and worked in the U.S., Japan, Italy, Finland, Mexico, and Thailand. She enjoys art, architecture, playing the piano, scenic hike, traveling, and learning something new every day.
